Social responsibility

Our care for social and natural environment is not merely declarative, it is a part of our identity. We are an eco-spa resort and we treat responsibly the environment and the people who participate in our development efforts. Coexistence with the nature and the people, as well as an open dialogue with all participators that are a part of our trade mark, provides opportunities for our synergetic growth and development.

Environmental care

Returning to nature means raising of the human awareness to the cognition that people are a part of the nature and that we can function universally only within its framework. It depends on this very cognition whether we shall direct ourselves towards the true values offered by the nature and by the life itself or we shall become victims of the science. The existence of life on the planet in the 21st century will depend on the nature's possibilities for functioning.

In the light of everything that has been said, we at Terme Snovik are aware of the wealth of the nature that surrounds us. Therefore, we set out on a journey of preserving green, clean and healthy environment. We decided to establish a quality system that is in accordance with the requirements of international standards of the group ISO 9000:2000 and ISO 14000:2005. As a reference standard, we chose SIST ISO 9001:2000 (Quality Management System) and SIST EN ISO 14001:2005 (Environment Management System).

With an innovation in the energy segment, which is a product of our own main company, we manage to participate in the environmental development strategies. The use of renewable energy resources, such as the use of solar energy (vacuum solar collectors), waste water heat (heat pump water-water), excessive heat in the air (heat pump air-water) and wood biomass (boiler room) contributes to the emission reduction, to the improvement of the living environment and to the tourist attractiveness of the place. Furthermore, our contribution to the reduction of the environment pollution includes our own mechanical biological treatment facility, sorting of the waste (every apartment has a three-compartment recycling bin) and minimal use of non-reusable products and non-refillable containers). Our ecological awareness is apparent from our energy saving measures (use of energy-saving lamps, automatic switching off of air conditioning and heating systems, high quality window insulation, energy-saving refrigerators and other appliances, and bioclimatic architecture), the smallest possible consumption of water and the promotion of use of public transport. The result of our efforts is reflected in the acquisition of The European Eco-label for tourist accommodation service EU-Daisy.
