The characteristics of the thermal water

Our thermal water has benevolent balneological characteristics. It is suitable for swimming and drinking, and has a benevolent effect on the skin, bones and digestion.

The thermal water contains:
Calcium (53,0 mg/l), magnesium (25,0 mg/l), sodium (3,7 mg/l), potassium (1,6 mg/l), iron (0,01 mg/l), lithium (0,01 mg/l), metasilicon acid (18,3 mg/l), metaboron acid (less than 0,01 mg/l), hydrogencarbonate (260,0 mg/l), chloride (1,7 mg/l), sulphate (18,0 mg/l), fluoride (0,3 mg/l), nitrate (2,2 mg/l), silicate (11,0 mg/l)
˝The natural resource in the valley Tuhinjska dolina offers proven homeothermal geo-alkaline water that can be used for recreational and touristic purposes, for sports and, with adequate facilities and personnel, for rehabilitation balneological purposes," were the findings of prof. dr. sci. Janez Kraševec, dr. med, after the research of the effects of the thermal springs in Terme Snovik. According to his opinion, the water is suitable for both curative and preventive purposes, and is particularly helpful in the following cases:

- chronic degenerative spine and locomotory system diseases
- chronic degenerative rheumatism
- chronic infectious rheumatism
- joint and extra-joint rheumatism
- arthrosis
- spondiloarthrosis
- cervical discopathy with vertebrogenic syndrome
- degenerative processes in the spine and the post-operational spinal status
- ankylosing sponditis
- deforming arthrosis and osteochondrosis
- intervertebral disk disorders
- neuralgia
- joint diseases including metabolism disorders (gout)
- after the discus hernia operation
- after the hip and knee endoprosthesis implantation
