Saunas

In the sauna, we expose our body to the alternating effects of the hot dry air, steam and cold water. The main principles are pleasure, relaxation and sweating.

Finnish or dry sauna

Finnish sauna The temperature in a dry Finnish sauna ranges from 70 °C and 90 °C, with the humidity between 25 and 35 %. The humidity is increased by pouring water over heated stones; the water evaporates instantaneously and heats the room even more. The heated air causes sweating, and dust, dead skin cells, excessive oil and dirt are excreted through the expanded pores. The kidney function is stimulated, excreting salts, toxic and waste substances from the body, and overheating the body strengthens the immune system.
In our sauna, you will also be spoiled with the benevolent and healing effects of the herbs in the aromatherapy treatments and tea* drinking. The selected herbs from our own herbal garden are used, with a soothing, relaxing and antiseptic effect against colds and infections. Every day, the sauna awaits you with a different herb.

Frigidarium or ice sauna

Ledena savna A snow room (frigidarium) with the temperature of -5 °C to 0 °C can be used for cooling down after a hot sauna. In the "snow cave" with the heated floor, your feet won't be cold. The ice that you will rub on your body, will stimulate the circulation, and after that, a warm water bath will warm up your body back to the body temperature.
