May Day family holidays in Terme Snovik: Tradition, fun, and relaxation in the embrace of nature

As nature turns green and the first warm days delight us with sunny rays, it's time to take a moment for ourselves – for a break, for family, and for genuine relaxation. In Terme Snovik, we have prepared unforgettable family holidays for this year's May Day celebrations, full of activities, animations, and magical moments that will delight both children and adults.

From April 25 to May 4, 2025, a rich and colorful program awaits you with plenty of creativity, movement, water fun, and festive atmosphere. Mornings and afternoons will be filled with animations that children love – from mini disco, creative workshops, and water aerobics to the popular children's tombola, where everyone wins a prize. While the children have fun in the pool and workshops, parents can enjoy a moment for themselves in the soothing thermal water or join family activities.

We have placed special emphasis on evening gatherings. On the eve of Labor Day, we will prepare a space for traditional bonfire, take care of the fire preparation, play some camp games, and with smiles on our faces, roast delicious apples and marshmallows. Palček Snoviček will also be with us to entertain the youngest, along with animators who will ensure that the fire burns beautifully with a dance workshop.

We will continue the evening in a relaxed atmosphere with music, games, and camp fun. The event will culminate with a night torch hike and a 'Marshmallow party' – the perfect combination of nature, warmth, and togetherness.

On the holiday itself, May 1, we will be awakened early in the morning by the May Day wake-up call by the Tuhinj Valley band, which will create that authentic feeling of celebration and connection. Palček Snoviček will visit us, games for children and Russian bowling for adults will take place in front of the thermal spa. The cultural program will be provided by the Tuhinj Valley Tourist Association, and you can also follow the workshop for making carnations from crepe paper by the craft section of the Tuhinj Valley Tourist Association.

The musicians of the Tuhinj Valley Tourist Association every year with the  May Day wake-up call  'play' to the hearts of the people.

Slovenians have music in their blood. A special place among musical performances still belongs to participation in the celebrations of Labor Day on May 1, when at dawn of the holiday they perform a greeting playing of marches and awaken residents and tourists.

Once we are fully awake, a delicious goulash! will be available for all guests.

Recommendation for a day trip: Morning swimming or relaxation in the healing thermal water with water hydrotherapies, followed by a short massage, and after resting, we invite you to a delicious lunch at the renovated restaurant Potočka, where in addition to daily lunches, we also await you with a selected spring offer of tasty seasonal dishes made from asparagus, wild garlic, rhubarb, and daily on the menu is also the traditional Tuhinj trout.
