A defining feature of this cycling route—highly popular among Slovenian professional cyclists—is the nearly 10‑kilometre ascent from Stahovica to the Črnivec Pass. The route begins in Kamnik and gradually climbs towards Stahovica, where the more demanding ascent to Črnivec starts. At the top, mountain bikers can continue towards Velika planina, while road cyclists can enjoy the descent and then head towards the source of the Kamniška Bistrica River.
